Houston Recycling Collaboration
At the forefront of innovative recycling efforts, the Houston Recycling Collaboration (HRC) brings together industry leaders and key stakeholders to transform a community's approach to post-use plastics. Launched in January of 2022, this dynamic partnership includes the City of Houston, Cyclyx, ExxonMobil, and LyondellBasell.
The HRC is dedicated to its mission: significantly increasing the collection of post-use plastics in Houston and establishing the city as a leading circular hub for both mechanical and advanced recycling methods. By integrating resources, knowledge, technology, and infrastructure, we aim to create a sustainable recycling ecosystem that benefits our environment and our community.
We believe this public-private partnership can serve as a model for other cities and communities across the United States seeking to enhance their plastics recycling initiatives. Together, we are reshaping the future of recycling, fostering collaboration, and driving change to achieve a more sustainable world.

Baytown, Beaumont, and Southeast Texas Recycling Collaborations
Cyclyx has established agreements with ExxonMobil and other cities in the Greater Houston area – including Southeast Texas, Beaumont, and Baytown – to begin recycling collaborations in these cities to enhance their plastics recycling efforts.
These recycling collaborations will empower residents by providing them with convenient access to recycling resources and education. The initiatives will promote the importance of recycling and effectively divert more post-use plastics from landfills and foster a stronger circular economy in the region.
Our holistic approach encompasses a variety of programs designed to target post-consumer residential, community, and commercial locations, all integrated into our comprehensive Cyclyx plastic collection programs.
