Cyclyx hits major milestone in supplying feedstock for advanced recycling
Efforts help divert more than 60 million pounds of plastic waste from landfills and incineration

The Woodlands, TX — In a significant step toward its mission to increase the recyclability of post-use plastics, Cyclyx announced it has supplied more than 60 million pounds of end-use plastic as feedstock for advanced recycling. This achievement marks a major milestone in the company’s efforts to divert plastic waste from landfills and incineration, giving them new life through innovative recycling technologies.
The feedstock—sourced from a wide range of post-use plastic streams—has been directed to advanced recycling facilities. This helps close the loop on plastic waste while supporting the transition to a more circular economy.
Cyclyx Chief Operations Officer Walter Sopp emphasized the importance of the team’s efforts.
“We’re proud of the team and the role they’ve played in achieving this milestone,” said Sopp. “We’ve proven we can handle a broad range of plastic waste, including mixed-polymer streams that would otherwise be incinerated or landfilled.”
To date, Cyclyx has provided more than 60 million pounds of end-use plastic as ISCC-PLUS feedstock for advanced recycling, diverting this material from landfills or incineration.
Cyclyx’s approach combines data-driven sourcing, customized feedstock, and strategic partnerships with recyclers and municipalities. Using proprietary technology and advanced sorting capabilities, the company is able to analyze, blend, and custom formulate feedstock to meet customer specifications for ISCC-PLUS certified products.
“Every pound of plastic we divert is an example of how we can efficiently manage materials traditional systems can’t process,” said Sopp.
With just over 60 million pounds already processed, Cyclyx is setting its sights on even more ambitious goals—proving that with the right systems in place, plastic waste doesn’t have to be the end of the story. The company continues to expand its reach, aiming to increase the volume and variety of plastics it can divert and repurpose.
