Walter Sopp is the Chief Operating Officer for Cyclyx, bringing over 30 years of international leadership experience in the defense industry, lithium conversion, and battery recycling enterprises. He is an expert in strategic and operational planning, focusing on building high-performing cross-functional teams that effectively connect strategic vision to tactical execution.   

Prior to joining Cyclyx, Mr. Sopp served as chief operating officer at Cirba Solutions, a recognized leader in recycling and circularity within the battery ecosystem. He has held various roles at Albemarle Corporation, including chief operating officer for Australia and vice president of manufacturing for Asia Pacific. In these positions, Mr. Sopp led the expansion of lithium-ion battery material production and drove operational excellence while collaborating closely with joint venture partners.   

A United States Marine Corps veteran, Mr. Sopp also holds a Master's in International Studies from Universität der Bundeswehr München and a Bachelor of Science in Management from The Pennsylvania State University.
